- Develop and implement an evidence-based action plan for training front-line health providers on how to screen for maternal behavioral health problems, provide direct care when appropriate, and refer the patient to behavioral health services when needed.
- Improve care coordination to ensure pregnant and postpartum women get the care they need with follow-up.
- Improve equitable access to behavioral health services for pregnant and postpartum women, primarily through the expanded use of telehealth services in rural, medically underserved areas.
