[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide worker compensation alternate medical provider services
- Provide medical triage and treatment for injured employees at facilities equipped with necessary equipment for radiographs or x-rays, when appropriate, including an efficient process for interpreting results.
- Provide multiple facilities that comply with the requirements of all federal and state laws, including but not limited to the with disabilities act, that are applicable to providing workers’ compensation services.
- Address causation of employee injuries based on the mechanism of the alleged injury, accident, or occupational disease to determine, to a reasonable degree of medical probability, whether the injury is work related and provide opinions on reasonable and necessary treatment.
- Maintain consistency and continuity in care by assuring to the fullest extent possible that the same physician and his and her designated staff treats the same employee for any work-related injuries incurred while an employee of is being treated for workers’ compensation.
- Comply with any existing contracts between and providers of ancillary services, including but not limited to contracts for pharmacy services, diagnostic services and physical therapy, although alternative providers of these services may be considered.
